Cadet Relations Team

Mission

The Cadet Relations Team (CRT) focuses on enhancing the NLB by actively recruiting dedicated student leaders who are eager to take on the challenge of military service. In addition to recruiting, CRT represents the NLB with pride at a wide array of campus-wide events, serving as the visible and personable face of the program. Their efforts are focused on creating meaningful connections and fostering understanding by “putting a face to the uniform,” helping to humanize the ROTC experience for the wider campus community.

Leadership

Club Commander – Gabe Daubert (gqd5197@psu.edu)
Operations Officer – Shane Masse (svm6602@psu.edu)

What We Do

CRT holds recruiting/information booths in the HUB several times throughout the semester. Through these booths cadets have a chance to talk to potential future cadets and also educate the Penn State campus about the ROTC program. CRT will often have information booths at other relevant campus events, such as Parents & Family days or Involvement Fairs. Additional events include running Shadow Day, in which a High School Senior will shadow a current Cadet throughout their day in Army and regular classes,  passing out ROTC flyers, and high school recruiting. CRT also looks to strengthen the Nittany Lion Battalion through regularly scheduled retention events such as Dinners, Intramural Sports teams, Paintball and other fun activities.
